Tasting Notes
Elegant and finely aromatic bouquet. Balanced and flattering with juicy and ripe fruit on the palate, precise and fine spice, almost salty. Silky texture. An excellent accompaniment to food with impressive finesse.
Food Pairing
A wonderful, pleasant companion, whether enjoyed alone on the terrace with friends, or as an excellent accompaniment to light dishes such as steamed fish, poultry, or salads.
Processing and Aging
The grapes were selectively harvested and lightly crushed in buckets in the vineyard to allow for a longer maceration period. Whole cluster pressing took place for approximately 3 hours. The wine was fermented in barriques for several months without any added yeasts or enzymes and bottled at the end of March.
Growing Region and Climate
Winegrowing in the Moselle region is characterized by its unique landscape. The character of the growing regions is shaped by the special geological, topographical, and microclimatic interplay. The grapes for this wine were grown in the Kinheimer Rosenberg vineyard. This vineyard is an excellent site with deep, stony clay-weathered soil, facing south-southwest. The wines from Kinheimer Rosenberg possess a typical Moselle minerality, pronounced fruit aromas, and a delicate play.
