Tasting notes
Very fresh and harmonious with aromas of ripe apples, pears, elderflowers, quinces and peaches. A subtle herbal note and the typical Mosel minerality make this dry-tasting wine exceptionally appealing and refreshing.
Food pairing
The perfect uncomplicated everyday wine that accompanies light salads as well as seafood, risottos and Asian dishes. An excellent glass of wine to simply relax or have a good conversation with friends.
Vinification and ageing
The 100% Riesling grapes were grown and selectively harvested according to the wishes of our oenologist. After gentle pressing, the wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Growing region and climate
Winegrowing in the Mosel region is characterised by its unique landscape. The character of the growing regions is shaped by the special geological, topographical and microclimatic interplay. The grapes for this Kabinett come from the two vineyards of Bernkasteler Johannesbrünnchen and Bernkasteler Schlossberg of the winery Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch Erben Müller-Burggraef. The climate of the Mosel is one of the warmest in Germany and due to its proximity to the river, excellent conditions for viticulture can be found here. The slate soils of the steep, sun-drenched slopes store the heat and release it to the vines at night, largely preventing frost.
